I was born in Atlanta, Georgia where I attended Fulton County Schools first through fifth grades.  For middle school, I attended Christ the King and for high school, St. Pius X.  After high school, I earned a B.A. in English with minors in Spanish, History, and Art from Sewanee (The University of the South).  Since I graduated in 1990, I have lived and taught in Americus and Sumter County.
