Americus-Sumter High employee Geneva Waters speaks about books to a group of students at the high school. The school recently adopted "Drop Everything and Read," (D.E.A.R.) a national program designed to encourage literacy and reading.  The goal of D.E.A.R. is to remind people of all ages to make reading a priority in their lives. Waters visits classrooms around the school each week to discuss books she has read and to share titles which may be of interest to students.
