Americus-Sumter High Automotive Science students were visited recently by Mr. Jimmie Stephens, recruiter for Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. Stephens came to ASHS to inform students what his school has to offer and potentially interest them in enrolling after graduation. He showed photos of the school and a few short videos, and spoke for well over an hour covering a variety of topics of interest to future ASHS graduates. Stephens said he came to help students plan their future careers, and offer them advice to assist in their decision making. "I want students to explore all of their options, not just our school," he said. Stephens showed students a detailed budget comparison to illustrate what a NADC graduate can expect to earn in 2019, compared to a career in the military or someone with a four-year degree. NADC is widely recognized across the United States as a top tech school for automotive industry training.
