Americus-Sumter High School recently hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive. It was the first of four blood drives to be held at the school during the 2018-19 school year. Blood drives have taken on extra significance lately

due to a severe shortage of blood across the United States as well as in Georgia. ASHS students and staff assisted Red Cross employees from around middle and south Georgia to collect a total of thirty-seven units of blood in seven hours.
