South Georgia Technical College is pleased to announce that the Electrical Lineworker Program is being offered for the first time on the campus of Americus-Sumter High School. This is part of the New Move on When Ready Dual Enrollment program. Move On When Ready is a dual enrollment program which provides the opportunity for high school students to enroll part-time or full-time to earn both high school and college credits. There are 13 students currently enrolled in this two semester course. Topics include lineworker organization principles, lineworker workplace skills, lineworker automations skills, and lineworkeroccupational skills. Upon completion, the high school students will earn a Technical Certificate of Credit. South Georgia Technical College Instructors for the courses are Sandra Royal and Larry Trussell.
