Band Wins Multiple Awards

On October 21, 2017, the Americus-Sumter High School band performed at the Harris County "Sound of the County" Marching Invitational in Hamilton, GA.  The ASHS band received "overall superior ratings" for all categories, including drum major, dance-line, color guard, front ensemble, battery percussion, and band. They also received three "best in class" awards for drum major, dance-line, and battery percussion, and second place awards for color guard, front ensemble, and band. In all, the band took home twelve trophies for the competition, reaching a total of twenty trophies so far this season.
